Lufthansa
Cargo now conveys urgent and important express shipments with td.Flash
to twelve selected US truck destinations – guaranteed and
time definite. The “US Trucks Go Time Definite” program …includes
a capacity and performance guarantee, tracking and tracing, as
well as proactive communication.
(This) means that in the unlikely event that
a shipment should nevertheless fail to arrive on time, Jet Airways
will report this to Lufthansa Cargo, which, in turn, informs its
customers of the delay. For example, if … the truck is delayed
on its way from Chicago’s airport to the new td.Flash station
in Minneapolis by a blizzard, this will be reported immediately
to Lufthansa Cargo. The carrier can then proactively inform its
customer of the anticipated delay.
In order to be able to do justice to these
high quality standards, Lufthansa Cargo needs absolutely reliable
partners in the United States. On the West Coast, it is Jet Airways
Inc., headquartered at Los Angeles airport. The transport management
enterprise has a workforce of 14 employees, operates an additional
office in Chicago, and provides trucking services via a network
of agents to airlines at all key gateways in the United States.
The secret to the company’s success
is its immaculate service. “In a way, our customers are like
our family,” says Monika Lutz, Chief Executive Officer of
Jet Airways. “And the word ‘no’ simply doesn’t
exist in our vocabulary,” adds Chief Operating Officer Tammy
Zwicki. The dynamic duo founded Jet Airways in 1998. By that time,
the two ladies had already accumulated more than thirty years’ experience
in the field of road-feeder services.
Optimizing delivery times enjoys top priority
at Jet Airways. “At present we’re working on an air-air
program into which regional airlines are to be integrated,” Monika
explains. “After all, a truck takes four days to travel from
coast to coast.”
The two dynamic ladies plan to open up offices
in Atlanta and New York with their own staff and extend their presence
worldwide.
